Presenting La Table Krug by Y, with an eight-course menu that changes daily

Just an hour’s flight from Dubai is a new fine dining concept that could arguably be one of the most creative in the Middle East. The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain has opened La Table Krug by Y – a partnership with the premium Krug Champagne brand, serving dishes created by the resort’s executive chef, Yann Bernard Lejard. This is the fourth La Table Krug restaurant in the world.

The idea is to showcase innovation and high-quality ingredients with a local twist, paired with the prestigious Krug bubbly. A 16-person restaurant, meals are presented as an eight-course journey, with dishes that change daily – but among those to expect are rigatoni with white truffle, duck liver and quail; rich beef wagyu with zesty teriyaki; local Bahraini vegetables with confit lobster and mango emulsion; and desserts such as a blueberry parfait in chocolate crust with coconut coulis.

The restaurant is one of a number of changes taking place at the hotel, with a chef’s table menu and a new five-star tasting menu introduced at its Italian restaurant, Primavera, and Mexican signature outlet, Cantina Kahlo, respectively.

Prices for the menu experience at La Table Krug by Y start at AED850 per person. If you wanted to make a weekend of it, room rates at the hotel start at AED1,603 per night.
