Prada has never played by the rules, so it’s no surprise that its new men’s fragrance doesn’t either. Paradigme is less about slotting into the overcrowded canon of “power scents” and more about tearing up the script. It asks the question: what if masculinity smelled different?
The name itself is an intentional play on “paradigm,” hinting at a shift in how men approach fragrance. Paradigme takes the traditional perfume structure – the neat pyramid of top, heart and base notes, and flips it. Instead of opening with citrus and fading into woods, it starts at the bottom: a dense mix of Peru balsam, benzoin and guaiac wood, smoky and resonant, before slowly lifting into green geranium and bright Calabrian bergamot. The result is less linear, more alive, like a scent that evolves on your skin in real time.

This inversion is more than a perfumer’s gimmick. It reflects a broader cultural mood: men moving away from bombastic, one-dimensional masculinity in favour of complexity, subtlety, even contradiction. Paradigme is warm but fresh, strong but quiet, stylish without being obvious – very Prada, in other words.
The design mirrors the juice. The bottle is architectural but understated, with beveled lines and a green gradient that feels both classic and unexpected. It doesn’t shout for attention, but once you notice it, you want to look again.
Fronting the campaign is Tom Holland, who embodies this new kind of masculinity: confident without bravado, stylish without flash. In the accompanying film by Thomas Vinterberg (Another Round), Holland literally confronts his younger self on screen, blurring the line between performance and personal memory. The message is clear: masculinity today is about rewriting the rules, not following them.
There’s substance behind the style too. Prada Paradigme comes in refillable bottles, cutting down significantly on waste, and the ingredients are sustainably sourced. It’s a reminder that luxury and responsibility aren’t mutually exclusive.
Paradigme is a fragrance for men who don’t need to smell louder than the room. Instead, it’s for those who want a scent that grows with them.
