Presenting the AMB 001

Making its worldwide debut this week at EICMA, the Milan Motorcycle Show, is the AMB 001 by car brand Aston Martin and Brough Superior, a renowned British motorbike manufacturer. This is a track-only, strictly limited-edition motorcycle, and the first in an ongoing partnership between the two companies.

Only 100 examples of the AMB 001 will be built – Aston Martin has worked on the design, applying the same approach that it did with the space-age Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar, while Brough Superior handled the engineering. This is the first time the Aston Martin badge has featured on a motorcycle.

A unique, modern, lightweight and powerful sports bike concept, the AMB 001 has innovative technical features, including a chassis configuration with a double wishbone front fork and structural carbon-fibre body. The traditional Aston Martin Racing colours of Stirling Green and Lime Essence have been applied, with Matte Black wheels and suspension, as well as touches of bare carbon-fibre, titanium and billet aluminium. Oxford Tan leather pads and a hand-stitched saddle can also be seen.

Aeroynamic wings attached to the cowl on the front of the bike provide extra downforce, and this is the first Brough Superior model to feature a V-twin turbocharged engine, with an output of 180bhp. Handbuilt in the Brough Superior factory in Toulouse, France, the AMB 001 will cost EUR108,000 (AED441,136).
