Bovet 1822 Is Only Making 10 Of The Virtuoso X Tourbillon

It’s like four watches in one

You can never have too much of a good thing – unless it’s a Bovet 1822 watch, in which case you can have 10. That’s how many of the 46mm Virtuoso X Tourbillon will be made, displaying three distinct timezones on its front face, with a patented flying tourbillon, and 10 days of power reserve on a single barrel.

The front…

This is the first timepiece in the brand’s new Ateliers Bovet concept, which places a greater focus on engraving, miniature painting and technology, as well as personalisation. The globes on the front are both hand-painted, with the names of cities above them to show the timezone.

The reverse…

That’s the front – the reverse also has a watch face, and you can decide which of the two you prefer. This one still shows the tourbillon, but features an elaborate set of engravings around the main dial.

As a pocket watch…

So you have a choice of faces, and thanks to the patented Amadeo convertible case system, a number of ways to make use of them – just a few simple steps, not requiring any tools, will change the watch into a pocket watch, and again into a table clock.

It can be a table clock too

The Virtuoso X Tourbillon is available in 18k red gold, 18k white gold or platinum. An alligator strap is included, as well as a chain for using it as a pocket watch. No word on price, but expect it to be a lot.
