Bovet 1822 Launches 19Thirty Fleurier Model With New Engraved Dial

Demonstrating its skills in the decorative arts

The 19Thirty collection was launched by Bovet 1822 in 2015. It was inspired by one of the last pocket watches made by the brand, and has inherited the harmony and numerous stylistic details of the ‘Easel’ chronometer, patented in 1930, hence the name.

There were two case styles to choose from – Fleurier, with an elaborate bow configuration at the 12 o’clock position; or the more conventional Dimier case, with its four horns.

Now we see this new Fleurier example with a striking dial decoration – a luxurious ‘Fleurisanne’ engraving that embraces the hour and minute dial, as well as the second counter, which together form an eight: a symbol of good luck and prosperity for the wearer.

Dating back to the 19thcentury, Fleurisanne is a style of hand-engraving mastered by very few craftsmen, requiring high levels of skill and patience. The new engraved Fleurier models are available in red gold and steel 42mm cases, with an alligator leather strap. You can also choose either blue or black circular dials.

Water-resistant to 30 metres, the watch has a power reserve of seven days. Find Bovet 1822 watches at branches of Seddiqi & Sons in Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
