From German tuners Novitec

Even as standard, the McLaren Senna is something special. Fitted with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine, it’s the most powerful McLaren road car ever made, offering 789hp. Only 500 in total will be built, named after Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna.

But German tuning specialist Novitec had other ideas – boosting the power and making the car even quicker. With Novitec’s new Senna upgrade package, you’ll get another 100hp or so, taking it to 902hp. Torque has also been increased from 590lbf.ft to 655lbf.ft.

What this means is a slightly faster acceleration from standstill, with the car reaching 100km/h in 2.7 seconds – the standard version will get you there in 2.8 seconds. Yes, the gains may seem small, but could be enough to give you the edge out on the track. Reaching 200km/h still takes 6.5 seconds, and the overall top speed remains 335km/h.

Novitec is offering three levels of tuning for the McLaren Senna, but is yet to reveal details of the other two. All are achieved using the company’s plug-and-play N-Tronic module, which adapts to the car’s electronic ECU (engine control unit), remaps the injection and ignition, and modifies the electronic boost pressure control.

As part of the upgrade, you also get a Novitec Race GTR high-performance exhaust system, made of ultra-lightweight material Iconel, used in Formula 1, which offers extensive thermal insulation and helps the engine breathe more freely. This has two 9.5cm pipes finished in polished stainless or matte black, and is also available separately.

You can also choose your preferred hi-tech forged MC3 wheels – an exclusive design from US wheel manufacturer Vossen. Available in 20in and 21in sizes, there are 72 different colours, each with a brushed or polished surface, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero rubber.
