An actor, producer, dancer, singer, qualified pilot and Breitling brand ambassador, John Travolta doesn’t have much spare time on his hands. He did, however, manage to take five minutes out from his busy schedule for a quick chat with MOJEHMEN.
What was the turning point in your career?
There were several. The first was making it to Broadway. Second, it was making it to a popular TV series, Welcome Back Kotter. Third, it was Saturday Night Fever and my first Academy Award nomination. Fourth was my Pulp Fiction Academy Award nomination. Lastly, my Emmy nominations and win for The People vs OJ Simpson.
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
Be involved with good projects!
What is the type of character you like to play the most and why?
A well-written one, because they are more fun and challenging to interpret.
Your best memory and experience as an actor?
There are so many I couldn’t possibly highlight one above the rest.
When you’re not working, where can we find you?
Piloting a jet aircraft.
Tell us about your relationship with Breitling.
It started 12 years ago and it’s become a staple image for me and for them due to my passion and my career as an aviator. Being associated with one of the finest watch brands in the world with their image of quality and longevity is really something to be proud of.
What is your favourite watch?
What exciting things can we expect from you in the future?
I’ll continue to do film and in particular, the turn as John Gotti, famous American gangster and the role of Vince Lombardi, famous American football coach, will be fun and interesting to watch.
