An affordable staycation, with great F&B outlets
There is a clear movie theme in Dubai’s new Studio One Hotel, which has just opened in Studio City –a huge image of actor Rami Malek peers out from behind the reception desk, and many of its 141 rooms feature murals of other recognisable stars. It also has a restaurant called Mr Miyagi’s.
And if you want to give it a try, there is a special opening offer. Book between May 1 and June 30, and the price is just AED300 per night. You will also get AED300 back to spend at the hotel’s various F&B outlets.
The choice of rooms includes studios, ideal for longer stays, and bunk beds for the adventurous. All rooms can be converted into a twin set-up too, with a grab-&-go counter for a quick bite on the move, an in-house laundrette, and a self-service pantry on each floor. The hotel also has a pool area, the N&J by Samer beauty salon, a mini cinema and a gym.
If you don’t want to stay over, pop in to try one of the new food outlets instead. The only one open currently is the LARTE Italian Neighbourhood Bistro, but it will be joined soon by The Maine Street Eatery, The Irish Village, El Chapo’s Tacos and The Meating Room, as well as Mr Miyagi’s.
