To many, Harry Redknapp is a footballing legend, both as a player and a manager. He was a midfielder for West Ham and AFC Bournemouth during the 1960s and 1970s, and played alongside other greats, such as Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst. Then, from the 1980s to recent times, he has managed such teams as West Ham, Southampton, Portsmouth, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City – he even spent time in the Middle East managing Jordan’s national side.

But others will recognise him as last year’s winner of TV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, popular in the UK, which places celebrities in an Australian jungle camp for three weeks with few home comforts, tasking them with physical challenges. He is also the father of former footballer Jamie Redknapp, and the uncle of former player and current Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

He’s sure to have a few tales to tell – and you’ll be able to hear some of them in Dubai on January 31. An Audience With Harry Redknapp is taking place at the Mövenpick Hotel, Jumeirah Beach Residence, from 7.30pm onwards. Doors open at 6.30pm, with drinks packages starting at 7pm, and tickets from AED295. VIP packages, which include a three-course dinner with the man himself, plus photos, are available too.

This is the first time that Redknapp has brought the show to the UAE. It sold out when touring the UK, hosted by comedian Noel Brodie.
