The Dubai-based DJ and musician is one of the brand’s chosen collaborators
Spanish fashion house Purificación Garcia has teamed up with selected artists from across the Middle East to launch its new Thinker programme – an initiative aimed at cultivating the region’s creative community, as well as strengthen the support of local artists in the GCC.
The first batch of five local names were revealed at a Dubai event recently, held at The Workshop in Jumeirah, to launch the new Ori satchel bag. The line-up includes fashion designer Parvané Barret, DJ Basil Alhadi, singer-songwriter Sandra Sahi, influencer Lana El Beik and photographer Sleiman Dayaa, with each featured in their own segment in the Ori video lookbook.
Alhadi is wearing a Purificación Garcia polo shirt and navy blue trousers. The new Ori satchel bag can also be seen in the clip. Alhadi, also known as Karrouhat, is notable for his unique style of music, and has managed to pave the way for an alternative music scene in the region. In the video, he is wearing a Purificación Garcia polo shirt and navy blue trousers. The new Ori satchel bag can also be seen.
Born and raised in Kuwait, Alhadi – a DJ, singer, songwriter and composer – comes from a musical family. Growing up in various cities in the Arab world, he is heavily influenced by ’90s culture, and has a love for mixed Arabic genres and artists. Alhadi is also known as one of the first artists to try his hand at Arab reggae music.
