Hublot Reveals Two New Rainbow Watches

Big Bang timepieces in a crazy mix of colours

Rainbow watches have been a growing trend these last few years, with a number of brands offering timepieces that feature a huge range of colours. Not many have gone to the extreme that Hublot has, however, with the rainbow theme carried over to nearly every possible part of the watch.

The 45mm Big Bang Unico and 39mm Big Bang One-Click Rainbow editions are the latest examples of this. A cascade of colour across the polished and satin-finished 18k gold cases and alligator leather straps, there is more courtesy of the precious stones used throughout – rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires, blue topazes, tsavourites, and yellow and orange sapphires.

The smaller One-Click has 425 stones it total, with 307 on the dial alone, while the Unico uses just 212 here to highlight the numerals and chronograph dials, with a glimpse of the movement behind – it has 388 stones overall. Both timepieces have the same chromatic bezel of 48 baguette-cut gems.

Each has a different movement too. The Unico’s is a chronograph movement with a 72-power hour reserve, while the One-Click has a self-winding version with a 50-hour reserve. Prices for the watches are AED336,400 and AED301,500 respectively.
