LeBron James Leads Rimowa’s Latest Brand Campaign

Taking part in a series of short films

Rimowa is a premium luggage brand that has been around since 1898, with all of its products designed and engineered in Germany – it is well known for its sturdy aluminium suitcases with parallel grooves, and was the first luggage company to introduce polycarbonate. It has quite a following, with basketball legend LeBron James among those seen using its products in an all-new promotional campaign.

James is joined by the artistic director of Dior Men, fashion designer Kim Jones, and Chinese pianist prodigy Yuja Wang, with each creating a short film about everything that travel means to them, from the inspiration to the self-discovery. The three personalities are said to be linked by a collective mindset, with a belief that success is a journey and that nobody builds a legacy by standing still.

The films were shot across four countries by three different directors, with each presenting an emotionally insightful, personal and visually distinct expression. The Kim Jones film is the first to be released, following a journey from Japan to India.
