Musical sensation Lenny Kravitz joins his daughter Zoe Kravitz in their first film project together. The Kravitz’s, joined by luggage makers Tumi, go on an intimate quest to the Bahamas to discover their family’s roots and pay tribute to where they came from.
The video project, which is part of Tumi’s spring/summer 2019 campaign, is directed by Eliot Rausch, follows the sensational duo on a personal journey that aims to strengthen the bond between the father and daughter.
It is the first time the Big Little Lies star joins her father, a musical legend, on a project together. The pair share a very public profile and a life in the limelight, and this project aims to pay tribute to their ancestors and their homeland.
“To me, this campaign is about connecting with ourselves, our roots, and with each other,” says Zoe Kravitz. “It was amazing to travel to the other side of the island for my first time to see where my family originated from and to pay respect to our elders and those who came before us – to experience that with my father was monumental.”
Lenny’s involvement in the project with Tumi as he is a fan of the brand, going back to the days of his musical tours. “I’ve been a TUMI customer and admirer of the brand for as long as I’ve been touring,” says Lenny Kravitz.
Alpha 3, the line the video aims to promote, will be offered in a wide range of travel products that backpacks and accessories.
