Today marks the start of the Armani Hotel’s annual Gourmet 1010 showcase and it’s little events like this that are now key to the local dining scene.
For Dhs350 you get to try a set menu at one of their restaurants - Amal, Ristorante, Hashi and Deli. It’s a good way to reacquaint yourself with the Armani hotel’s collection of restaurants and put yourself in the hands of the chef.
Ristorante has been one of the best Italians in the city for years now. This gives you set menu with amuse bouche of gazpacho, breads (they’re excellent here), a mackerel in jelly starter, one of their risottos – worth the price of admission alone – then veal main and a really great dessert.
There are similar styles of set menu at their Indian, Japanese and deli.
The food scene in Dubai moves quickly, with new high-end restaurants opening at a rate probably not seen anywhere else in the world. Amid the excitement about the new play to try – and Dubai loves the latest thing – it’s easy to forget some of the places that have been consistently good for years now.
This is a great way to revisit some of the places that have been consistently good in the city.
From 1-10 October, 7pm to 11pm. Dhs 350 per person set menu.
