July: Restaurants To Try

MOJEHMEN rounds up the best restaurants for you to try during the month of July.

Engima, Palazzo Versace

Palazzo Versace

Delicious Middle Eastern cuisine is presented in a truly opulent setting at Palazzo Versace’s Enigma restaurant. Inspired by the Iranian origins of Michelin-starred executive chef Mansour Memarian, fresh and authentic Persian ingredients are brought together and the result is an explosion of taste. Enigma's oudoor seating area offers incredible views of the hotel’s impressive sky-blue pool as well as the Dubai Creek, but fear not – in the warmer months, the restaurant’s gilded and cream-smothered interior is just as awe-inspiring, thanks to plush furnishings, silverware and high ceilings that truly evoke scenes of the utmost Italian luxury. Ideal for a romantic dinner or a light lunch with friends, followed (of course) with a day at the spa or spent lounging poolside.

Little Miss India, Fairmont The Palm

Little Miss India
Fairmont The Palm

Diners are taken on a unique culinary journey upon their arrival to Little Miss India. The eatery's eccentric menu is beautifully reflected in the space’s quirky interiors, which feature vibrant colours and Old World accents. The incredible history and diversity of Indian cuisine is, without doubt, perfected here, with Little Miss India serving up a selection of delectable sharing style dishes that are perfect for groups of friends for a weekend catch up. An impressive choice of exotic mocktails poured from an unconventional bar – a heavily painted tuk-tuk – further elevates this eatery to one that’s not to be missed this summer. MOJEH recommends Little Miss India’s Saturday brunch due to its laidback atmosphere and universal appeal.

Hotel Cartagena, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai

Hotel Cartagena
JW Marriott Marquis Dubai

This eclectic restaurant recently replaced Morah on the 72nd floor of the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. Hotel Cartagena is set to become one of Dubai's most talked about spaces, thanks to impressive 360-degree panoramic views that are quite extraordinary. And as if this weren't noteworthy enough, a lush interior design and tropical furnishings are quite unlike anything else to be seen in the UAE. South American and Caribbean delicacies and signature dishes are cooked up among oversized tropical foliage and flamboyant artwork and bird cages that hang delicately from high ceilings, all of which harks back to a bygone era. Intimate tables are exquisitely decorated with blooming flowers of hot-pink and peach, while dancers in feather headdress entertain guests alongside live musicians.
