Two iconic German companies unite
Former F1 driver Mark Webber is certainly getting around at the moment, isn’t he? After driving an all-electric Porsche Taycan across the Middle East, he’s off to a photo shoot somewhere, modelling the new Porsche x Boss capsule collection.
This is a collaboration between two iconic German companies, Porsche and Boss. As part of an ongoing partnership, there’s a new spring-summer capsule collection of Boss clothing and shoes inspired by Porsche cars.
Future technology and innovative hybrids underscore the designs, with functionality at the fore, and sophisticated design informing every piece. Precise shapes, subtle textures, and a grey-blue tone emphasise these qualities across 12 unique items.
The jersey sweater and polo, casual shirt, leather jacket and tailoring are each said to be inspired by the silhouette and details of Porsche cars. An insistence on quality and performance is seen in the innovative workmanship of the outerwear, the hybrid wool and nylon construction of the knitted jacket, the luxurious Italian cloths, and fine nubuck leather used for the driver’s jacket.
Functional highlights include the three-in-one bomber jacket with a padded reversible and removable inner vest, and a lightweight suit with stretch lining, featuring a fabric that regulates temperature and resists wrinkles. Both the sneakers and formal shoes echo Porsche’s aerodynamic shapes.
