A unique interpretation of a modern grand tourer

Welcome to the world of grand touring, McLaren style. This new GT is the first grand tourer from the brand, promising the usual high performance and continent-crossing capability expected of the class, but in a lighter, faster and more engaging package.

A huge emphasis has been placed on comfort and cabin refinement, while the GT’s exterior is based on the lightweight underpinnings of the McLaren Speedtail. It has a carbon-fibre structure and aluminium body panels, making it weigh just 1,530kg in total (the lightest grand tourer on the market). There are 420 litres of boot space in the rear too – more than any other McLaren – so you can drop in golf clubs and all kinds of luggage.

McLaren has also created a new Proactive Damping Control suspension system, making the ride incredibly smooth, and everything from the braking and steering to the ground clearance has been optimised for daily urban use. But with a 326kmh (203mph) top speed, courtesy of the twin-turbocharged V8 engine, and a 0-97kmh (0-60mph) time of 3.1 seconds, you’ll want to spend as much time as possible away from town and out on the open road.

Deliveries will commence at the end of the year. Prices start at around AED800,000.
