Featuring Japan’s most influential men’s clothing brands
Global online retailer Mr Porter has looked to the Far East for something special to add to its current offering. The result is The Japan Edit, a series of capsule collections from some of the country’s most influential voices in men’s fashion.
There are 15 brands in total, comprising 122 pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories. Look for items from Ambush, Auralee, Beams Plus, Blackmeans, Blue Blue Japan, F-LAGSTUF-F, Hender Scheme, Human Made, Kapital, Mizuno, Needles, Neighborhood, Remi Relief, Takahiro Miyashita TheSoloist and Wacko Maria x Fragment.
Each has created a unique collection, with its own take on Japanese style and culture. Highlights include Auralee’s one-button belted trenchcoat, F-LAGSTUF-F’s lantern print camp-collar shirt, Human Made’s ramen noodle printed T-shirt and Mizuno’s wave creation running sneakers.
Daniel Todd, buyer for Mr Porter, said, “Following the success of the Made in California and Vive La France capsule collections, we pay tribute to another capital for men’s style: Japan. It’s a country we travel to seasonally, and one that we are consistently inspired and refreshed by when exploring new voices and fresh approaches to menswear. Bringing together this calibre of designers under one capsule represents a remarkable opportunity to spotlight such talent to our global customer.”
