The race is happening on October 25 in DIFC
The City Half Marathon is a new race planned for Friday, October 25 in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). It will take place as part of the annual 30-day Dubai Fitness Challenge.
Endorsed by the Dubai Sports Council, the course has been measured by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), starting in front of the Gate Building and looping around DIFC. This route offers a unique opportunity for participants to run alongside the city’s iconic skyline.
Peyman Al Awadhi, vice president and acting head of marketing and corporate communications, DIFC Authority, said, “We’re really excited about bringing together the local and global wellness community for the very first City Half Marathon, especially after the great response we’ve seen to a number of sporting events hosted at the Centre. It’s the perfect addition to our action-packed calendar of unique lifestyle, arts and cultural activations.”
As one of the first major events of the season, the City Half Marathon is open to participants aged 16 and over, and will also feature 5km and 10km race categories. Entry for the 5km race is AED125, for 10km the fee is AED175, and for the full half marathon the cost is AED275.
