Inspired by the mid-1970s

While the rest of the world has to wrap up warm for winter, shorts and T-shirts remain the essential staples of the Middle East. Luckily, British brand Orlebar Brown has a new collection out, with light, casual pieces to help refresh your look.

This is the Cruise 19 series, which take its inspiration from the Amalfi Coast of the mid-1970s, with its beaches, yachts, villas and endless glamour. The bright palette features sunflower yellow, espresso brown, blush red and admiral blue, and a variety of prints, used across swimwear, shorts and shirts.

Check out items from the Cruise collection’s X capsule here:

The swim shorts come in a range of designs, with half-elasticated waistbands and an external rope drawcord, while the Setter X design features nylon with side fasteners, or a drawcord version for a sportier look. A breathable cotton-linen blend has been introduced across the shirts and shorts, and there are several indigo wash pieces, giving a worn feel that develops further over time.

Find the items online, or at the Orlebar Brown store in Dubai Mall.
