Displayed until the end of February
Vacheron Constantin has been making timepieces since 1755, so you can imagine the number of exquisite pocket and wrist watches it has created during that time. To celebrate its work in the 20th century, its heritage department specialists have pieced together ‘Les Collectionneurs’ collection – 10 vintage timepieces, impeccably restored.
From now until the end of February, you can view this incredible collection for yourself, on display at the Vacheron Constantin boutique in Dubai Mall. Each item is available to buy, with a certificate of authenticity and a two-year guarantee.
Highlights include an 18k yellow gold complete calendar with moon-phases watch, measuring 35mm, with windows to indicate the month and date, and a large moon-phases indication.
There’s also a platinum open-face ultra-thin minute-repeater pocket watch, measuring 45mm, with a seconds subdial, attached to a short pendant, with a stylised, oversized bow.
The 18k yellow gold mono-pusher chronograph may also be of interest. This is cushion-shaped, with a silvered, grain-finished dial, a 30-minute counter and a seconds sub-dial.
Christian Selmoni, style and heritage director at Vacheron Constantin, said, “The collection perpetuates this precious link between past and present, enabling our clientele of connoisseurs and collectors to acquire restored vintage pieces directly through the maison, which is a real guarantee. As for the events organised around the world to unveil these pieces, they attract both seasoned collectors and young generations eager to delve more deeply into watchmaking history.”
