The actor will appear at the Middle East Film & Comic-Con
Coinciding with the release of the new superhero movie Shazam! in cinemas, lead actor Zachary Levi will be appearing at this year’s Middle East Film & Comic-Con from April 11-13. Levi is the latest star confirmed for the event, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and will be available for autographs and photo shoots, as well as celebrity panels and a live Q&A, over the three days.
Shazam! is released on April 4. Described by some as the comic-book version of Tom Hanks movie Big, it follows 14-year-old foster kid Billy Batson, who turns into an adult superhero (played by Levi) whenever he shouts the magic word “Shazam!” Before donning the costume, Levi played the lead role in five seasons of TV’s Chuck, and has lent his voice to Disney’s Tangled.
The Middle East Film & Comic-Con brings big names to Dubai every year from movies, TV, animation, comic books and cosplay. At the 2019 event, Levi will be joined by Mike Colter (Marvel’s Luke Cage), Ross Marquand (The Walking Dead), Katie Cassidy (Arrow) and Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones). Ticket info on the website.
