Sustainable, with several unisex items
Stella McCartney has an interesting concept for its autumn 2020 line-up. This year is said to be about the relationship between the Stella man and the Stella woman, with a shared wardrobe between the two. Think outerwear and coats perfect for both sexes.
The woven ‘S’ jacquard fabric is displayed across the range. Workwear is elevated in several forms, in particular across tailored utilitarian two-tone trousers. These combine organic Japanese cotton gabardine and recycled Japanese polyester twill, with patches of smooth alter-nappa material.
Workwear-inspired shirting is made from organic cotton, with sharp tailoring courtesy of recycled polyester and certified wools. A dark bitter chocolate suit is made with traceable wool, while a sherbet yellow organic cotton shirt is paired with an oat-coloured wool jacket and workwear-inspired trousers, also made from organic cotton.
Colourways include navy with black and khaki with camel, sherbet lemon, dark bitter chocolate, oat and sand. Continuing the brand’s commitment to eco-conscious fashion, organic cotton, sustainable viscose, ZQ sustainable wool, recycled polyester, recycled nylon, regenerated cashmere and vegetarian leather continue to be widely used.
Look for the new collection at Stella McCartney stores later this year. Branches are located in Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
