A new Carrera Calibre 16, available in four variations

The revamped 41mm TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 is here – with stylistic enhancements to improve its legibility and desirability in equal measure. The dial, in sunray black or sunray blue, has larger, more pronounced counters on the three sub-dials, with the index markers filled with SuperLuminova for optimum visibility.

On the black dial, a red accent graces the tips of the central second and sub-dial hands, the start/stop pusher and the flange from 12 to 3 o’clock, while on the blue dial the accent is orange. There is also a stainless steel case that now seems thinner and sleeker due to the shorter lugs, with the blue or black ceramic bezel appearing larger thanks to the disappearance of the metal ring along the outer edge.

There are four variations to choose from – opt for the blue dial with a light brown leather strap of perforated calfskin with orange stitching; a black dial with a perforated black leather strap and red stitching; or a blue or black dial with a stainless steel bracelet. Powering each of the new models is the automatic Calibre 16, protected by a stamped caseback that features the collection name and a distinctive tyre-track pattern.

Originally introduced in 1963, the TAG Heuer Carrera collection is famous for its ties to motorsport. Expect prices for the latest version to start at AED15,684.
