Measures 43 metres, with a top speed of 20 knots
The Monaco Yacht Show ended over the weekend, which means that staff from UAE shipyard Gulf Craft are most likely on their way home. Gulf Craft had been present to deliver its latest superyacht, the Majesty 140. Measuring 43 metres in total, with an 8.3-metre beam, advanced composites such as carbon-fibre and GRP have been used throughout.
A collaboration between the shipyard’s in-house Design Studio, which drew the yacht’s exterior lines, and Cristiano Gatto Design Team, which was responsible for the interior design, the tri-deck Majesty 140 was originally introduced at the 2018 Dubai International Boat Show. Gulf Craft has sold four units so far, with a fifth under negotiation.
The model at the show was handed over to Gulf Craft’s French and Monegasque dealer, Aurora Yachts International, who will act as its central agent. It has a spacious beachfront deck, with balconies on both sides located aft of the main deck, a jacuzzi in the sundeck and two large opening sunshades on the hardtop. There is full-height glazing in the main and upper decks, with the yacht also housing a large tender and two watercraft in its garage, located mid-ship behind the beach club.
Cristiano Gatto Design Team has been working on the Majesty 175, Gulf Craft’s first megayacht project, due for launch at the end of the year. Its work on the Majesty 140 includes five staterooms, with the full-beam master in the forward main deck. The owner’s stateroom also features a private extendable balcony, a bathtub and a walk-in wardrobe, among other amenities.
Powering the Majesty 140 are twin MTU 16V 2,600hp engines, giving a top speed of 20 knots, cruising comfortably at 16 knots. It will cover an extended range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economical 10 knots.
