Said to be the world’s fastest SUV
Since its launch in 2016, Bentley has sold more than 2,000 Bentayga models in the Middle East – its first SUV. The car has a number of variants, with the W12 and V8 available, and to celebrate its success in the region, the latest model, the Speed, has just launched.
This is the world’s fastest SUV. Like the other Bentayga models, the Speed is designed, engineered and handcrafted in Crewe in the UK, where Bentley is based. From the four round LED headlamps and large matrix grille, to the distinctive power line and muscular haunches, the Bentley DNA is obvious throughout.
Standout features include the dedicated off-road modes for snow, sand, grass and trails, and also the pioneering 48V active anti-roll control system, which virtually eliminates body roll. The W12 model has a top speed of 301km/h, while the V8 offers a maximum of 290km/h
And then there is the Speed – the world’s fastest production SUV, featuring an enhanced 626bhp version of the renowned 6.0-litre W12 engine, with more power, a top speed of 306km/h, and 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
The Bentayga Speed’s ceramic brakes are the largest and most powerful ever fitted to a Bentley, with a maximum braking torque of 6,000Nm, engineered to withstand up to 1,000 degrees C. They also save more than 20kg over iron brakes. Also look for the Bentayga Speed’s dark-tint headlights radiator and bumper grilles, as well as its body-coloured side skirts and a striking tailgate spoiler.
