A new take on the famed 400-page legal document
It’s been a few months now since Special Counsel Robert S Mueller III submitted his report on Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election. President Donald Trump has made his feelings about the investigation known on Twitter, and reacted to news of Mueller’s upcoming public testimony on July 17 with just two words: “Presidential Harassment!”
Trump would probably view upcoming plans to turn the Mueller Report into a 208-page graphic novel in much the same light. Produced by Shannon Wheeler, the cartoonist best known for the comic strip Too Much Coffee Man, and Steve Duin, a columnist for The Oregonian newspaper, the work is described by publishers IDW as a “readable graphic novel version of the book every patriot needs.”
It intends to transform the original 400-page legal document into a visual, satirical feast, complete with a villain’s rogues’ gallery, nail-biting cliffhangers, and “a lone lawman standing proud against the wave of crime.” Scenes detailed in the report will be brought to life, from the infamous Trump Tower Meeting of 2016 to Trump himself exclaiming “I’m f****d!” when he found out he was being investigated.
The Mueller Report: Graphic Novel will be released in April 2020, priced AED60.
