One of the oldest in Dubai
The Jebel Ali Beach Hotel was one of the first to be built in Dubai, opening in the early 1980s. Now known as the JA Beach Hotel, it recently completed its 2019 makeover, and reopened on September 1.
Part of JA The Resort, the JA Beach Hotel has had it entire façade renovated, with sleek all-glass balconies and new furniture, allowing guests to enjoy panoramic sea views of the 800-metre private beach. The rooms themselves have been improved with modern wood tile flooring, new beds and furniture.
There are also new restaurants – an Italian, Sette, with 360 dome views of the resort, opens in October, but for now you can enjoy Phoenicia, a contemporary Lebanese restaurant from Australian-Lebanese chef Greg Malouf, or Vasco Da Gama, a new bar and lounge named after the legendary Portuguese explorer. The existing restaurants are still present, but have been refreshed.
Around 30 per cent of JA Beach Hotel’s guests are said to be repeat visitors, with its greenery and wildlife, private marina and a host of family activities, including a nine-hole golf course, making it a much-loved destination. There will be another hotel, the JA Lake View Hotel, opening within the resort at the end of September. The Mediterranean villa suites of JA Palm Tree Court can also be found here.
