While the rest of the world is enjoying autumn and gearing up for what the holiday season has to offer, we in Dubai are a little bit luckier. We get to keep enjoying summer, the beach, and pool parties a little bit longer.

To stay clear of any possible beachwear and holiday fashion faux pas, we sat down with the man behind the world’s most fashionable swim shorts, Orlebar Brown.
We asked Adam Brown if he could give us his top tips for pulling off a stylish beach or holiday look. Here is what he had to say: “Apart from wearing head to toe Orlebar Brown,” you need to keep a few things in mind:
Be aware of your body type and what you’re wearing. Do not wear things that are too tight. Just because you’re wearing something that is tight and short it looks sexy. It doesn’t!
Don’t also think that if you’re wearing something baggy, voluminous, and down to your knees that you’re covering anything… you’re not! Middle aged men, including some of my friends, think that by wearing something baggy it makes them look better. It doesn’t, it just extenuates what you already have.
I think color is a reflection of who you are. Think blue, navy blue is always a safe bet if you’re not entirely confident. If you’re naturally an extrovert and confident, you can celebrate the brighter colors like the pinks and the yellows.
Be aware of your natural skin tone, too. If you’re naturally pale, do not wear anything bright. But if you’re naturally darker, celebrate color!
Complete your ensemble with a good watch, a good hat, and a decent pair of shoes. A sports watch that you can change the straps on is a great option. Switch up between leather, canvas, or rubber straps depending on the occasion.
